Welcome
The Friends are a group of people sharing an historical interest in London's police and criminal justice heritage. We directly support the activities of the Metropolitan Police Historical Collection* (MPHC).

The Friends assist MPHC staff in cataloguing and conserving the collection.

We also pursue our own research activities: London's Police History, Police Stations and Buildings, Women Police, Medals, Memorials and Ceremonies, Swords, Metropolitan Police Band, Jack the Ripper, Police Gallantry and former Metropolitan Police Officers.

We are pleased to announce that a new display of items from the Met Collection will now be available for the public to see. The location is at Empress State Building, Lillie Road, London SW6 1TR (close to Earls Court Exhibition Centre and West Brompton railway station). The opening ceremony took place on Monday 22 June 2009.
